The Padres, founded in 1969 are just one of 2 MLB teams that originated in California (LA Angels). Though it’s been a while since they have had much success (two NL Pennants, 1984 & 1998) they remain the ONLY professional sports team that calls San Diego it’s home (Thanks Spanos). Many great, Hall of Fame players such as the late, Tony Gwynn (Mr. Padre) and Trevor Hoffman (Hell’s Bells) have played with the Padres and been loved by their fans. At Guava we play all the Padres games so join us for a pint and a burger and “Root for the Padres!”
